1. Executive Summary

This document proposes a compliant, one-way settlement corridor from the United States to India. US collections occur via Fedwire, ACH, Debit Card (merchant acceptance), or Zelle*. Funds are received by the US sponsoring MSB, then remitted to a correspondent Payout Partner Bank in INdia for final payout to the end beneficiary.

FX & Pre-Funding (read first):

The model is modular, compliance-led, and scales well; economics improve with volume (material uplift beyond ~USD 2M/month).

Notes

  1. Compliance controls (CIP/KYC, OFAC/sanctions, transaction monitoring, velocity/layering checks) run at the sponsor MSB prior to remittance.

  2. FX conversion occurs in India per the payout bank’s rate; US MSB remains USD-only.

*Zelle must be explicitly approved for this use case by the sponsor bank.

  3. You are allowed to engage your own payout partner if you already have an agreement with them, or can request the PLH (Principal License Holder) to start the process of a correspondent tie-up agreement with them.

  4. Lastly, if you are already licensed in another jurisdiction that is acceptable to the PLH, and you already have various payout agreements in place, you, yourself can act as an aggregator and terminate the transaction into the beneficiary country. Proof of delivery would be required.

3. Pricing & Fees (Updated)
